Why Part Of Your World Is Disney's Best Song
Still hard to believe that Lord Farquaad and Arthur Mitchell were portrayed by the same actor.
Steve, Dave and Vanessa are much more generic names then Fred.
I mean, in most cases the character being "adorkable" works because they're sheltered or cast out in some way. It makes sense in the context of their stories. Rapunzel and Anna grew up sheltered and isolated from the rest of the world, hence, the awkwardness because they don't have almost any prior social interaction to draw on with how they should actually act around people. Moana, despite not being as sheltered, is still overprotected by her father in some regards, and she has the "outsider" feeling because, unlike practically everyone in her village, she's drawn to the sea, which everyone else seems to be scared or wary of; and you know what? She's the least awkward because she does have social interactions, she's just a bit awkward due to inexperience in handling certain feelings and situations, but that still checks out. You don't exactly wake up knowing exactly how to save your home one day. Mirabel has been shuned by most of her family for 2 thirds of her life, possibly even unintentionally neglected to by some of her family due to them being busy and because no one was really willing to stand up to Abuela. So, it stands to reason why she'd be somewhat awkward if she doesn't have a lot of meaningful interactions with her family members; heck, her interactions with her family during the movie are awkward and it kinda shows that people in her family don't have a lot of heart to heart talk. So, yeah, awkwardness makes sense given the context of her upbringing and prior life experiences. Sure, they coud have used different personalities, and they chose this trope because it was popular, but in these other movies it still make sense due to the context the characters grew up in. It was kinda lame and after some point definitely overused? Yeah, but it still made sense. The thing with Asha is that she doesn't have any of that, none of that background that would make her awkwardness work. She wasn't sheltered, or isolated, in fact she's very social and has plenty of friends; so it kinda just make her seem like that one person who acts crazy to get attention and just ends up being annoying. She just feel over the top and too dramatic. The other characters at least feel actually awkward.
Remember Emperor Zorgg is supposedly his father. You can see Buzz and him playing ball in the bloopers of Toy Story 2.
A Frozen movie where Elsa is actually the bas one would go hard.
This movie just wasn’t needed. The third movie was the perfect end to the series.
Did Disney forget about the emotional movie Up? With the main character being an old man who can't get over the death of his wife? And then goes on adventure with a kid?
You really hated Cinderella II😂😂😂
The Wild Robot looks great and considering how Megamind 2 was just a streaming movie not even made by Dreamworks, I'm not concerned. KFP 4 was awful, but Shark Tale came out the same year as Shrek 2.
While all the girls are fawning over stitch, we can relate to Jim Hopkins. Or long John silver
I love it when animation uses food to express a feeling. Something about what food represents, taking care of someone, by appealing to their basic needs.
i’ve watched a lot of ur videos and just now realized ur saying “im aldone” and “im all done” clever dude
as a Dane. the little mermaid was created by a Danish author and the mermaid is sitting in our harbor. 👀 i grew up with this story and it is very beloved by us. also the original gloomy story. this remake just misses the mark on every level. i do have an issue with race swaps from original characters. but it isn't always an issue. so it wouldn't have mattered with this movie either. but because ariel just fails as a character in this remake, she just fails and the race swap doesn't matter at all. it's the character!! she's not ariel to me. this movie is so lifeless. soulless.
Cars 1 is the best animated film oat
Disney must improve their film
Cars 2 isn’t bad
1:08 The music and voice acting to was amazing.
You know this may be controversial, but this movie is not the worst Disney movie yeah, it’s mean spirited as hell and some of the jokes don’t work but if there’s one thing I will give this movie is chicken. Little, the main character is actually not unlikable he’s just a normal kid, and I did like some of the scenes that weren’t mean spirited, or when chicken little defended himself against his dad This movie is better than cars two the worst Pixar movie and this movie is god tier compared to the Disney DVD movies
He is not just the best Pixar villain, but he is also up there with some of the best villains in superhero movies period. Right there with The Joker, Thanos and Magneto.
Disney also made a whole ass TV series that is also just as good, the setting is the years leading up to rapunzel's marriage as well as the discovery of the sundrop and the moonstone's power. It's directed by different directors this time but the original actors for Rapunzel and Eugene reprised their roles in the TV series as well, which is really crazy
I like it honestly, but IMO nothing beats "Day and Night"
"Just because your a bad guy, doesn't mean your a bad guy.".
evil endeavor...
one thing i like about dean hardscrabble is that she doesn't appear to want to have to expel either mike or sully, she just has to because mike as good a student as he is, likely wouldn't be able to scare anyone. and sully as great a scarer as he is, will end up getting himself or others into trouble that they can't get out of, and is likely pushing her own luck against a potential higher up, by giving mike and sully a chance, making her an antagonist not by will, but by circumstance
Are you kidding me? She just fell in loved with Hans that she just met, assumed that Hans is evil after the twist, and she just says that Hans won't get away, that she was wrong from the beginning and that Hans has a frozen heart. Sirously, those lines are much worst then Hans turning out to be evil.
At least, it gave room for 2d indie animated series to flourish. However, 2D animation is expensive, and indie studios often have long production times, releasing episodes every six months or so. Crowdfunding these projects is a challenge for indie creators. Monetization without merchandise is equally difficult. But indie creators are persistent! I follow many other animators who are trying to emulate 2D with 3D. The best example I found was Giwono's recreation of Ranma 1/2 on Twiter (X). It's the only project I've seen where it's hard to say if it's 2D or 3D animation. Neither the Guilty Gear nor the Dragon Ball games have reached this level of stylization.
Just the first sentence of the video netted you my like AND this comment. Seriously, pretty much the best disney movie I have ever seen. Thank you, RUclips algorithm, for finally doing something semi useful for once and reminding me of this absolute gem of a film.
WALL E NEEDS A SERIES OR A SEQUEL OR LIVE ACTION!!!! Disney take notes!
So we all agree that quirky heroes don't work anymore because there's too many of them.
im so glad that megamind never made a sequel
Anti means don’t like villains
Kerchek in Tarzan is a great Disney anti villian.
Please do a movie on Tarzan.
Why Disney villains *WERE* great, they are kind of lackluster now
It will may take a miracle to bring back the Traditional/2d Animation movies. Sometimes they were made by hand. If anyone wants to make these movies; find some books or look online to create a film. Does anyone else agreed of the idea?💡👍
I was waiting for your classic “I’m all done so goodbye!” 😆 there’s a vast difference between manufactured by a corporation and handmade with love.
Youre're right - even if the definition exists, the common understanding of "anti-villians" and their story implications aren't well know. Hopefully videos like yours changes that!
Odd defense of equating human beliefs to natural ecological systems, but pop off king.
Gaston is an "alpha male" or a sexist and misogynistic incel (it has the same definition as an "Alpha male"). Everytime I watched a video criticizing a sexist dude who think every women slept with them makes me think of Gaston
Auto was DEFINITELY a straight-up villain-- as the AI running the ship, the ship with systems built in to check the veracity of organic life retrieved from Earth, he became a villain when he KNEW that the boot contained a living plant and acted deliberately to stop it being brought to the sample analyser.
He did it because he has that objective. The humans programmed him to 'Never return to Earth', making him do anything he can to make sure it stays that way. Notice that these robots don't have a lot of control over their objectives (Eva automatically turning off after finding the plant). He is technically doing good in his eye(s), as he was told ever since he was constructed to never ever let the ship return back to Earth.
My favorite line from this movie is when Jim asks Silver about his cyborg parts. Silver looks at his metal hand and says, "You give up a few things, chasing a dream." It holds true morally as well. I always liked to believe Silver was a good man just like Jim, but as he chased after the treasure he lost his morality along with his body parts at some point. Jim helps him regain that lost part.
Toy Story coming full circle would ruin the message behind Toy Story, because Toy Story is all about change
I really hope it gets canceled, tbh I actually really like Toy Story 4, it was another really good ending, unnecessary yes but it doesn’t deserve the hate, Toy Story 3 was the end of Andy Toy Story 4 was the end of woody, but apparently it’s not
As an actual neurodivergent person who can be described quirky or whimsical I am so tired of those adorkable characters 😭😭😭 Like man, they feel so shallow, and because they are overused now i see how people get tired of them and can't help but project myself to that hate
It reviewed decently and did well at the box office so...
At least he got a well done short film before one of his least favorite Pixar films. I got nothing before Toy Story 4. Just went in with nothing but the mediocre Addams Family trailer and then head first into an hour and a half of mediocrity
Make a better title video next time, Aldone
i watched it on a plane and honestly i loved it and had to stop myself from smiling so hard when they touched lol
Hot take, the problem isn’t the “adorkableness” it’s the fact that there’s no narrative reason for it in Wish. Anna and Rapunzel both grew up isolated, with little social interaction. Mirabel is the oddball in her family just trying to find out where she fits, plus be the emotional support for everyone else. Moana is only 14, and who isn’t awkward and weird at that age? Plus, adorkable princesses aren’t just a modern Disney movie thing. Mulan was adorkable, but again because it narratively made sense. I personally love adorkable characters. The problem is it has to fit with the narrative.
I miss 2d animations
